Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Controller with a minimum of 6 years of experience to manage our financial operations and ensure the smooth financial functioning of our firm. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing financial processes, supervising staff, and collaborating with top management.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

·         Supervise and lead a team of two staff members, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.

·         Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

·         Oversee the budgeting process for projects, ensuring accurate tracking of expenses and revenue.

·         Implement financial controls and best practices to safeguard the company's assets.

·         Work closely with top management to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

·         Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

·         Maintain a strong understanding of QuickBooks and use it for financial record-keeping.

·         Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax preparation.

·         Assist in the preparation of annual financial budgets and forecasts.

·         Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

·         Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.

·         Handle any other financial tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

·         CPA certification is a plus.

·         Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in a Controller or similar financial management role.

·         Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

·         Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.

·         Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

·         Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·         Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

·         Knowledge of project budgeting and financial management in the architecture or construction industry is preferred.

·         Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.

·         Strong ethics and integrity in financial management.
